As part of the events to commemorate the 90th year of the Reserve Bank of India, a nationwide quiz for undergraduate college students named RBI90Quiz was launched on August 20, 2024. The quiz attracted widespread interest with participation of 1,58,206 students from 13,961 colleges, spread across 734 districts of the country. The multi-level team based competition, which commenced with an online selection round in September 2024, followed by State and Zonal level rounds, culminated in the National Final, which was held on December 6, 2024 in Mumbai. In his address on the occasion, Deputy Governor Shri Swaminathan J. underlined the importance of financial literacy for youngsters for making informed financial decisions and urged them to promote financial awareness, especially on safeguards against cyber frauds. He also spoke about the importance of financial planning, financial resilience and financial discipline. He highlighted the steps taken by RBI to promote financial literacy in the country among the young generation. In a highly competitive and exciting contest witnessed by an audience of college students and the Top Management of RBI, the team from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, Telangana comprising of Syed Mohammad Hashmi and Hussain Ahmed emerged the winners. The teams from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, Tripura secured the second and third places, respectively. The top three teams won prizes of Rs.10 lakh, Rs.8 lakh, and Rs.6 lakh, respectively, apart from trophies and certificates. Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das and Deputy Governors Shri T.
